In the world of entertainment, global services have sprung up one after another, and local productions are now being viewed all around the world. However, the number of video platform services on which Japanese productions can be viewed is limited, and the reality is that many users are pirating Japanese productions rather than enjoying them on legitimate services. REMOW was established to break through this reality and build a service and distribution network that allows Japanese content to be enjoyed around the world.
With this financing, we will deepen our partnerships and alliances with companies that support the vision of REMOW, and strive to deliver Japanese entertainment, a culture born in Japan and of our identity, to people around the world.
REMOW has also formed a capital and business alliance with Anime Onegai S. De R.L. De C.V. (“Anime Onegai”), a Latin American company specializing in Japanese anime; REMOW will take the lead in service development. Anime Onegai has developed “Anime Onegai por ANIMEKA,” a service specializing in Japanese anime, with a wide range of viewing options, including an SVOD service that allows unlimited monthly viewing of titles, an AVOD service that allows ad-supported free viewing, and a linear channel. Content will be delivered to a wide range of anime fans in collaboration with companies such as cable TV stations and telecommunications companies in each country. “Anime Onegai por ANIMEKA” also focuses on the localization of content, aiming for overwhelming quality that delivers the true appeal of the original works to the fans, and houses a dedicated localization studio with many directors and staff in its office. With its wide range of services and the quality of its productions, “Anime Onegai por ANIMEKA” will expand the reach of Japanese animation to Latin America and will support the realization of REMOW’s philosophy of bringing Japanese content to the rest of the world.
